Light, bright very interesting Museum, run by volunteers, so needs support. As well as excellent displays of local history they had a section containing artifacts from the Blond McIndoe centre, showing how McIndoe treated WW2 pilots who had been shot down and received burns, mostly to the face and head, also hands. His innovative treatment is well documented with photos, a cartoon, very funny, drawn of the ward, and other items. Well worth a visit.

For Mums with children very interesting & interactive visit to local museum. A great place to be educated about East-Grinstead through the years (peaty there are only one museum, we love to go to the museums, as the result we have been hear many times). The war & the burns patients "guinea pig club".
What is great I found this year - for half-term they organize an amazing activities for kids and history walk. Free entrance no parking but car parks very near.

This is a fascinating local museum, especially the room about the Gujnea Pig Club, to which we have a family connection. Thanks to volunteer Bob M, who showed us around, we got a lot more out of our visit than a previous one. It's well worth a visit.

Quaint small museum. East Grinstead is mostly famous for MacIndoe a famous plastic surgeon. Nice exhibition and video about his work.
We had a parking issue, the lady at the desk solved it for us. The people of the museum are extremely nice. It was a very good visit. Entrance is free.

A small museum with friendly volunteers. Of interest to me was the exhibition of the Guinea Pig Club, the groundbreaking treatment developed by Sir Archibald McIndoe and the Queen Victoria Hospital where severely burnt aircrew were treated. Its free to visit and there is the opportunity to make a small donation to ensure the story Guinea Pig Club is told.

We visited to take part in children's half term activities. They were simple, well organised & loved by 7yr old!!! We had a fun afternoon & the 7yr old wanted to go back later in the afternoon to do more - sadly after closing time but you cant get a better recommendation than that. Lots of lovely volunteers who made us very welcome. We'll be back in the Easter holidays. ๐๐๐๐
